International Architecture Firm Contributes to Liberace Adopt the Collection Fund
Under the design direction of Francis Xavier Dumont, the architecture firm of Leo A Daly (www.leoadaly.com) has provided the Liberace Foundation and Museum with a visionary rendering for what the Liberace Museum could become. The rendering was unveiled at the 2nd Sunday festivities in May and follows the style of the current museum façade which was also designed by the Leo A Daly firm.
“This is such a generous gift and wonderful jump start for our Adopt the Collection Fund,” says R. Darin Hollingsworth, Liberace Foundation Executive Director. “This gift provides a visual goal for our cast, the board and our donors to pursue.” The Liberace Adopt the Collection Fund was created with an anonymous gift from a local foundation and has already helped museum staff and volunteers execute some needed restoration and preservation of the delicate collection of costumes, antiques, cars, pianos and jewelry on display at The Liberace Museum.
Donors have the opportunity to have their names associated with a costume, car or piano for an annual gift of $1,000 or more to the Liberace Adopt the Collection fund. These funds will help defray costs of restoring costumes and preserving the other artifacts. Additionally, because of these gifts, the Foundation will be more effective in fulfilling its mission of providing support for the arts and scholarship assistance for students in the creative and performing arts. |
